implementation of a seismic and volcanic risk reduction project

Since February 2017, 6 volunteers have been deployed by the European Guild to Ecuador, at our partner Ecuasol, within the framework of the EU Aid Volunteers initiative. At the end of summer 2017, 20 new volunteers are going to join the first 6 ones. All these volunteers are working for the implementation of a seismic and volcanic risk reduction project. The first wave of volunteers is deployed in Quito, and the second one will be spread in several cities of the country. This project aims to improve the Ecuadorian population’s resilience in front of the regular earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. The volunteers are working in partnership with the local institutions and associations. The project in video.
